The scene is set in Riku's room at the bar. The door is open, and Riku is tugging Namine through by the hand.

"Sit down, and I'll give you the surprise," he says with a grin. He uses his foot to shut the door.

Riku knows. That's part of why he worked so hard at getting this back - because he knew he had to make sure she always had one place to come to, one person she knew she was safe with.

And maybe, in a way, he needed that too.

"You make me the luckiest guy in the all of the worlds," he says, and truly believes it. "Because I get to have you."

She pulls back a little to take one of his hands, placing several light kisses against his knuckles.

"I feel the same," she responds, her eyes shining a bit. To have the love of someone so wonderful, so amazing, someone who can easily have anyone else he wants...she feels incredibly lucky, too.

What reason would he ever have to want anyone else? She's everything he would ever need.

"Then I guess we're just the two luckiest," Riku says, with a smile. He kisses her lightly on the lips.

Won't find him complaining any about that fact!

She makes a contented sound against his lips, one hand lacing her fingers with his, while the other clings to his shirt.

Her eyes are shut, and a tear threatens to slip from beneath her eyelashes.

If she starts crying, he's quite ready to handle it. Battling her tears may even be a subconscious action, at this point.

"I'm so glad for this place," he says. He caresses her cheek with a hand. "It's really made a lot more possible."

Like actually getting her back.

If she starts to cry, it won't be because she is unhappy in any way. If anything, she only wants to cry because this feels so unreal to her, filling her with so much love.

She can only nod her head lightly, the tear beginning to run down her cheek.

"Me too," she whispers. "I missed you so much."

He wipes the tear away with his thumb, a motion that traces the outline of her cheekbone.

"Maybe it was a test," he says. "As dumb as that sounds. So we'd know how important this really is."

"A test?" she repeats, her voice still soft. Then she slowly nods again, a small smile appearing on her face. "Maybe."

She pauses, another tear falling -- she can't even stop it, though she tries.

"It was a hard test." Such a hard test, but so worth it.

"Yeah," Riku agrees. "One of the hardest things I had to do in my life."

Not an experience he really wanted to repeat, either.

"But no more tests, right?" she says. "At least...none we won't be able to pass together."

"I'll stay with you for each one," he promises. "I'm not letting go of you again."

Not for anything in the world.

She presses her lips to his cheek lightly, smiling, having to rise slightly on her toes.

"Don't ever let me go," she whispers.

"Never," Riku promises, and kisses her cheek in turn. He offers her a bright smile.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Namine."
